Leadership

A family continuing a legacy of care.

The Center • A Place of HOPE was founded by Dr. Gregory Jantz on the belief that people deserve compassionate, Whole Person Care. Today, that mission is carried forward by his family.

Together, they bring both personal investment and professional dedication to the work. For them, this isn’t just an organization to run — it’s a mission they believe in deeply and have chosen to carry forward.

They are supported by a clinical team that has been with The Center for years, and in many cases decades — professionals who worked alongside Dr. Gregory Jantz, who understand the philosophy of care he built, and who bring that same commitment to every client they serve.

President

LaFon Jantz

The Center • A Place of HOPE

LaFon Jantz co-founded The Center • A Place of HOPE alongside her late husband, Dr. Gregory Jantz, and has spent the better part of four decades helping people find their way back to health and wholeness. What began as a shared vision between a husband and wife has grown into one of the Pacific Northwest’s most respected treatment centers, offering personalized care for depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, addiction, and more.

At the heart of her work is the Whole Person Care philosophy: the belief that lasting recovery requires addressing the physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual dimensions of a person’s life. From the beginning, LaFon has been committed to identifying the underlying causes of a client’s struggles rather than treating symptoms in isolation, and to building a framework for recovery that is both achievable and sustaining.

Beyond The Center, LaFon is co-owner of Red Twig Bakery and Cafe in Edmonds, and is actively involved in her community through a number of philanthropic organizations. She is also a devoted mother to two adult sons and a daughter-in-law, and remains a proud supporter of Dr. Jantz’s legacy and the mission he dedicated his life to building.

Vice President

Gregg Jantz Jr.

The Center • A Place of HOPE

Gregg Jantz Jr. grew up at The Center. As the son of founder Dr. Gregory Jantz, he watched the mission take shape from the beginning, learning firsthand what it means to build an organization around genuine care for people. The values his father lived and worked by — compassion, integrity, and a deep commitment to whole-person healing — are ones Gregg carries into his work every day.

His professional background is in business management, and his entrepreneurial roots run deep. In his younger years he ran his own business in Edmonds, an experience that shaped how he thinks about operations, people, and accountability. He brings that same practical mindset to his role as Vice President, working closely with the clinical and operational team to ensure the organization runs with the precision and attention to detail that quality care demands.

Taking on a leadership role here is something Gregg approaches with both pride and a clear sense of purpose. The mission his father built is one he has always believed in, and continuing it is both a responsibility and a privilege he doesn’t take lightly.

Executive Director

Madison Jantz

The Center • A Place of HOPE

Madison Jantz joined The Center over a decade ago, working across operations, human resources, and leadership before stepping into her current role as Executive Director. That breadth of experience gives her a practical, grounded understanding of what it takes to deliver quality care.

Day to day, Madison works closely with the clinical and operational team to ensure every client receives the level of care The Center has always been known for. She is a committed steward of the Whole Person Care philosophy that her father-in-law, Dr. Gregory Jantz, built The Center around, and that philosophy guides how she leads and how the team operates.

For Madison, the mission is personal: giving people a first, second, third, or fourth chance at hope and healing. Outside of work, she is actively involved in her community, serving on the board of a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting vulnerable families and individuals in the greater Seattle area.

You are not defined by your struggle. There is HOPE, and there is a path forward.
